What We Believe
“O Lord my God, I cried out to You and You healed me.” ~ Psalm 30:2
The One Step Ministry is wholly focused on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the vital importance of sharing that Good News whenever, wherever, and however possible.
We believe in the Holy Bible as the one and only authoritative Word of God. It is inspired, inerrant, and infallible.
We believe in the Trinity, that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.
We believe in Jesus Christ—God the Son—who was conceived by God the Father, through the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary’s womb. Therefore, we believe Jesus to be the one true Son of God.
We believe Jesus lived life on earth 100% man and 100% God. He is the only man to live a sinless life and out of selfless obedience to God the Father, submitted Himself to death on the cross so that the sins of all mankind could be taken unto Him. We believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father.
We believe that one day Jesus will return in power and glory, creating a new heaven and a new earth and He will reign over it for all eternity.
We believe that by dying on the cross, rising from the dead, and conquering both sin and death, Jesus extends to all people the opportunity to be delivered from sin by His grace and mercy. We believe that the healing we speak of at One Step is the ultimate outcome of this grace. We believe that through earnest repentance, Jesus restores, redeems and justifies us so that we may in time share in His kingdom in heaven.
We believe that the only way to truly know God is through regeneration—being born again—through the Holy Spirit. We believe that the only way to reach heaven is through an abiding faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection. We believe that this salvation is a gift from God and not the result of any human effort or works.
We believe in sanctification, the ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ’s character in us.
Finally, we believe in the power of prayer, obedience to God’s Word, and the power of fellowship in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
